1 c. Sugar
1. Thinly slice oranges.
2. In a saucepan combine your oranges and sugar. On a medium-high heat stir the ingredients and let cook for about 20 minutes. Every stove is different so don’t expect fast results.
3.After about 20 minutes of cooking, mash the ingredients to a smooth jam/thick consistency.
4. You can add marmalade to freshly boiled jars for canning. If you do can the marmalade make sure that you follow water bath canning procedures for long term storage.
*All I chose to use small jars because I am the only one in my family who eats marmalade. This is also why I only used 2 oranges, which gave me a total of two small jars.
